A Visit to the Washington Park Arboretum

In the mid 40's, dry and a bit of a sunny break in the clouds made for a very enjoyable visit to the Washington Park Arboretum. Sharing the experience made it all that more enjoyable.

Mid 40 degreess, dry and a bit of a sunny break in the clouds made for a very enjoyable visit to the Washington Park Arboretum. Sharing the experience made it all that more enjoyable.
The parking lots were nearly full, and families, bicyclists and runners took advantage of a Seattle New Year's Day free of rain. It really is true that the Winter Garden exudes fragrances even in Winter! We admired the witchhazel, the winterberry and the red and yellow bark of the dogwood. Along the boardwalk “Happy New Year's” greetings abounded. All-in-all a visit to the Arboretum was a great way to start off the new year.
Our apologies for lack of pictures for those of you who didn't make it today. We were too busy talking, but here's a link for you to enjoy. However, better yet, post your own Arboretum trip to share with OutVentures.
