Green Lake 2024 Pathway of Lights

Something a little different this time --

The rain has ceased.

Still the walkway glistens from the moisture left behind.

As sun sets before us, candles' glow increase -

Tiny lights beaconing us along -

Illuminating the pathway in the growing darkness.

Merry voices fill the night air,

As friends and families celebrate.

Lights twinkle from hats and coats

Lights adorn baby strollers

Pushing the darkness back.

And as we walk along

Through this darkest time of year

We proclaim that light will return again -

The darkness will not last.
